Light Compass

Light Compass is a short piece of interactive art. A gold pocket compass sits in the dark. Open it to find two mirrored triangles, one of light and one of shadow.

Click a word to read a few sentences about it and a question to sit with. Visit both ends of a mirror and a strand of light appears between them.

Take the two-minute Tour, play the two small Games, or keep a private Journal of where you are pointed today.

There is nothing to win. It takes two minutes or twenty. Come back to it when something in your day feels stuck and you want to reflect on which way you are pointed.

A note: These are ways of standing in a moment, not kinds of people, and not a diagnosis. Real harm is real, helping is usually just helping, and firmness is usually just firmness. Use what fits. Leave the rest.

How to play:

- Click the compass to open it. Click the hinge to close it.

- Click a word to look closer. Click it again, click empty space, or press Esc to go back.

- Right-drag to orbit. Scroll to zoom.

- Left column: Tour, Games, Journal, then Settings (fullscreen, music, phone view, sparkles, strands, open/close, start over) and About.

- F for fullscreen. Esc closes whatever is open.
